A Notary in France

A Notary in France is known as a Notaire. As a nigerian, I am not used to a notary and used to think they are lawyers just like we have in Nigeria. They can be called lawyers, but they never go to court. They are not specialised in defending people in the court of law.

In France, a Notaire is a is someone specialised in contract law, such as successions/inheritance, property law, etc. They are found in francophone countries. Below is the logo of Notaires in France.
