Meet Miss France

Miss France, Marine Lorphelin, came second at the 2013 Miss World pageant samedi 28 september 2013
on the Indonesian Island of Bali.

Miss Philippines, Megan Young, was crowned Miss World 2013 and Miss Ghana, Carranzar Naa Okailey Shooter, took third place.

The French people are not too happy that 20 year old Marine Lorphelin didn't win the title. It's been 60 years since they have running after the crown. The last time the crown came to France was in 1953 with  Denise Perrier.

All the same, Marine's dream came true. Her desire was to be a part of the top 10 finalists and she got it.

Marine Lorphelin became Miss France 2013 on December 8, 2012, representing the region of Burgundy. She is a 2nd year medical student in Lyon. She wishes to become a pediatrician or obstetrician. Her hobbies are painting, art and fashion.
