They brought out their "Bringbackourgirls" placards only after the American stars started to and the hashtag started trending and several of them who never tweeted a "Bringbackourgirls" picture posted an "ice bucket challenge" video.
276 girls were kidnapped by Boko Haram in April 2014. The 2000 victims at Baga are mostly women, children and old people who could escape from the violence and decided to hide in their homes. During 4 days, between 6th and 9th of January, Boko Haram razed Baga and 16 villages surround it. Killing, destroying properties and burning up the villages. Those who escaped the attack fled to neighbouring countries; Niger, Chad and Cameroon.
